Ahram went from 1 to more than 1,000 models, from simple mechanical locks to a wide range of door accessories, and critical solutions to smart access technology. What started with a team of 3, today is over 1,200 people strong. Ahram grew from a humble small workshop to 3 manufacturing plants with over 400 state-of-the-art machines.

The Birth & Evolution
(1945 - 1990)
Following our ancestor's steps, we started our journey with the iron accessories workshop, followed by portfolio expansion to manufacturing locks and mortise locks by 1975. During the 1980s we partnered up with Int’l brands, and finally managed to relocate and expand to a factory with over 20,000 m2, at the 10th of Ramadan city in 1990.
The Development
(1990 - 2005)
Around the late 1990’s and the early 2000’s, we proudly announced the launch of the masterkey locking solutions, while successfully developing the business by opening our 2nd factory..
The Expansion
(2005 - 2019)
The success of our development directed us towards expansion, with the launch of higher security locks, and an Innovation focus/state-of-the-art R&D + QC lab. In 2019 we celebrated our expansion era with the opening of our 3rd factory specializing in handles.
The New Age
(2019 - 2023)
Conquering the new age of technology through our innovative labs, we carefully developed and mastered Smart Locks, with portfolio expansion to hinges, Fire Rated range & door accessories, and fire resistance & CE mark hinges & locks.
